NaPoWriMo: Day 12 - Small Things

flower petals fall
earth moves, sun rises, shadows fall
sheltering in place

National Poetry Writing Month #NaPoWriMo - Day 12 inspires us to invert our inspiration from yesterday's "a very large thing," and write a poem about a small thing.

It would have been "easy" to jump on another cancer-themed poem, e.g. cancer cells since that is on my mind so much these days.

My second, natural, inclination is to focus on my favorite things in nature, i.e. flowers.

Therefore, the poem and photograph I created in 2020 fit the prompt perfectly in my mind especially since I'm working with a graphic designer now to finish up the graphic work for my upcoming book "The Forest of One Tree" which includes this piece.

More details to follow.
