NaPoWriMo Day 16: A Cherita #2

the Calliope Circle
a revolutionary idea -
poetry read together

paper in women's hands
reading poems aloud

yet, pens at the ready

I am side-stepping the (optional) group prompt suggested for the National Poetry Writing Month #NaPoWriMo challenge.

I've given myself the challenge to write a cherita poem (pronounced CHAIR-rita).

Cherita* is a linked poetry form of one-, two-, and three-line stanzas.

When I first read about it I loved the idea that a longer story could be told in a poetic form.  Then other things distracted me and I put it on the shelf.
