Minnesota Department of Health initiated a lottery system to administer the COVID 19 vaccine. Initially, I was livid and ranted daily to anyone who would hear me. Nonetheless, I wasn't going to miss this opportunity for my husband and I so I got online immediately and registered us.
As luck would have it Karl was notified by our insurance provider, Health Partners, and he received his vaccine shot quickly and I was notified by the above-mentioned lottery that I could get my vaccine three weeks later.
Of course, I went and sat quietly while I received the shot. Afterward, I said to the nurse that this was the craziest system I'd ever heard of. She basically just smiled.
I left and was grateful but still sat in disbelief that this was the best they had to offer.
