rain painted yellow tulips
and her checkered vase
guest's buzz of excitement
at her painted life pieces
each one a prayer
#NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month) Day 4 challenge:
This started out a bit different this morning when I was looking at today's tulips but actually "seeing" a rainy day last year at a friend's art sale.
When I woke up from an afternoon nap an additional stanza and a new photograph painted life anew.
"guest's buzz"...I can almost hear them.
