NaPoWriMo Day 7 - April Showers

 


April showers bring
May flowers ... not in Zone 5
where snow wraps baby buds -
umbrellas held while shoppers
choose store-wrapped flowers

Challenge is to write a poem that argues against, or somehow questions, a proverb or saying.

Third in a row rainy Minnesota day brought this proverb to mind: "April showers bring May flowers."
