If Only I Could

If

someone had taken my photo last night you'd see me in bed, asleep, with "The Healing Spirit of Haiku" book and the stack of post-it notes around me, and

If

you were sitting beside me you'd see my joy at being wrapped in the robe you gifted to me... maybe you'd even smell the fragrant soap on my hands

If

you were here I would tell you how much I appreciate your friendship. You are truly a gift and I am so blessed to know and love you.

If

I was talking with (not to) God we'd talk about what an angel you've been to me and so many others with your thoughtful calls, gifts and texts.

If

only

I

could.
