Friendship

true friends  

bring over healthy dinner  

no shame ... ate cake first

We had to cancel our dinner date with Melissa 

because my husband was not feeling up for traveling and socializing. 

My extraordinarily kind BFF made homemade chicken soup, 

a delicious healthy salad, pickled vegetables, and a 

scrumptious piece of chocolate cake for each of us. 

I ate two bites of chocolate cake before dinner, and they did not shame me. True friendship!  

Sunflowers

couldn't sleep ... dreamt of  

a sunflower field  

calling me to come  

when golden light surrounds them

laughing, cheering 

cool rain falls

can hear a pin drop 

talking to myself non-stop 

composing haiku

so many ways to converse 

who's talking first
