ghosts' rocky path where
nothing is left but the wind
heart leaves a trace
*
First settled in the late 1790s, Rocky Springs grew from a watering place along the Natchez Trace, and took its name from the source of that water - the rocky springs.
In 1860, a total of 2,616 people lived in this area covering about 25 square miles.
Today it is a ghost town that is a segment of the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail, Mississippi, USA.
This heart-shaped stone called to me.
It prompted me to imagine the 1,000's of people who walked on this path.
